Alameda’s Longest Running Business Showcase Returns in 2016
Meet the Contacts You Need for Your Business, Home and Family Needs

Alameda, CA – September 15 – The Alameda Chamber of Commerce and the City of Alameda are pleased to announce The Alameda Chamber of Commerce Business Expo and Conference will return in 2016. Alameda’s largest and longest running business showcase, presented by Michaan’s Auctions, Alameda Point Antiques Faire and Tim Lewis Communities, will be held at College of Alameda on Tuesday, October 18th, 2016.

Alameda businesses and residents have waited over two years for the return of the Alameda Chamber of Commerce Business Expo, making it one of the most anticipated events ever held in Alameda. The added Business Education Conference promises to make it well worth the wait. Attendees will have the opportunity to browse through scores of business exhibits, attend an array of small business workshops, find job opportunities and view main stage programs not found at any other business event.
“The 2016 Alameda Chamber Business Expo will be very different from the Chamber’s previous Expos”, said Michael McDonough, president of the Alameda Chamber of Commerce. “Not only does this Expo address the needs of families and consumers, the added business education conference will provide the Alameda business community with an event normally reserved for the largest Cities in the nation.”
For the first time in Alameda’s history, the 2016 Business Expo will feature Small Business Association Workshops such as “Free and Low-Cost Resources for Small Business” and “How to Access SBA Capital”. The Chamber will offer additional workshops including “Understanding the New Employee Overtime Law” and “The 5 Numbers Every Business Owner Should Know”.

The main stage will feature a Think Tank Panel similar to the popular television series, Shark Tank, and a keynote presentation by Dennis Erokan, founder of BAM Magazine, the BAMMY Awards and past President of the Alliance of Chief Executives. An abundance of business exhibits including, but not limited to, home health care, technology, home security, marketing and financial services will be available to serve your home and business needs.

“Our partnership with the City of Alameda and College of Alameda has allowed us to produce an event that will positively impact the entire community in a big way”, said Mark Sorensen, the Chamber’s Executive Director. “Those who attend the 2016 Business Expo will leave with the knowledge, resources and contacts they need to operate a successful business or provide security for their home and family.”

The 2016 Alameda Chamber Business Expo is the perfect opportunity to showcase your business, gain valuable knowledge to help you grow your business and meet the contacts you need for your business, home and family needs.
