Gregory D. Smith, Architect is dedicated to improving building performance through careful analysis of the energy and spacial characteristics in relation to the clients requirements. These designs are a collaboration between myself and the client to create beautiful, energy efficient
My work includes:
Residential and Commercial;
Historic restoration/renovation and New construction;
Tenant improvements
and Home remodels.

Greg Smith graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s of Architecture degree and has been a practicing architect since 1990.  He moved from Iowa to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1994 and has lived in Alameda, California since his daughter was born in 1995.
He worked for Adolph S. Rosekrans, Architect as a Project Architect and Project Manager until 2005. The firms projects included the award winning San Mateo County Historical Associations restoration of the San Mateo County Courthouse in Redwood City.  The San Mateo County Historical Museum now occupies this significant domed, neo-classical gem.  Other projects include the California Historical Society near the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

He left ASR to join Hart Howerton and there worked on the Carmel Residence as well as large residential developments in Egypt, Morroco and Texas.

Greg Smith, Architect was founded in 2008.
