Alameda Library
Alameda boasts three library outlets. The Alameda Free “new” Main Library opened in November 2006. The Main Library is a Silver LEED Certified building offering wonderful print & media collections for children, teens, and adults. There are small group study spaces; public meeting rooms; a volunteer operated cafe; dedicated spaces for children, teenagers, and quiet reading;
75 public computers; and wireless access throughout the 47,500 sq. ft. building. The two neighborhood libraries are currently in the planning process for renovations.
